Special issue of Studia Logica in memory of professor Nuel Belnap. Call for papers

We are inviting submissions for a Special Issue of Studia Logica in memory of Nuel Belnap (1930–2024). Belnap made seminal contributions to logic and many areas of philosophy, including many-valued logic, proof theory, relevance logic, temporal logic, spatio-temporal indeterminism, and the logic of agency. Over his long career he provided inspiration and support for several generations of logicians, and many of his papers were published in Studia Logica.

For the obituary on the Pittsburgh Department’s website, see here:

We particularly invite papers that are related to, or inspired by, Nuel Belnap’s work. They should also address a topic in logic or philosophy that falls within the journal’s scope.
Submitted paper will be subject to the usual peer-reviewing procedure of Studia Logica. The Special Issue will be edited by Thomas Müller (Konstanz), Tomasz Placek (Jagiellonian University Kraków), and Heinrich Wansing (Bochum), who are among Belnap’s many long-time collaborators and coauthors.
